Final Marathon Preparations with Concern.

As the countdown to the Lifestyle Sports-Adidas Dublin Marathon begins, the marathon’s official Charity Partner, Concern Worldwide, is on hand to offer expert tips and advice to optimise participant’s final preparations!

On Sunday 4th October, Concern will host the final in a series of training days at The Castleknock Hotel, Dublin. Beginning with a run at 10am, Catherina McKiernan, former Olympian and holder of the Irish record for marathon running and John Treacy, 4 time Olympian and record holder for the 3000m, 5000m and 10000m races, will then share their experience and expert knowledge on how to have a successful run.

Race Director Jim Aughney will also impart insider information on the marathon route and how to effectively take each stage, twist and turn of the course while Frieda Molamphy, nutritionist with the Irish Running Magazine, will advise on what foods will fuel your run.
