Marathon Mission runners to the fore

Well done to all from the Marathon Mission Team who competed in the Woodie’s DIY senior race at the inter club cross country championships at the Phoenix Park on Sunday.
There was a great race for second place in the Men’s between Gary Thornton from Galway City Harriers just getting the better of Gary Murray from St. Malachy’s. Mark Kenneally’s from Clonliffe Harriers was the winner. Brian Mac Mahon who is due to run in the Paris marathon in five weeks time also had a fine run to finish 16th overall.

Siobhan O’Doherty from Borisokane AC got the better of Annette Kealy from Raheny Shamrock to finish second and third in the Ladies race behind Linda Byrne of Dundrum South Dublin.

Sean Connolly posed a time of 29:37 in a 10K run in England on Saturday and was pleased with his progress.

The next outing for the team in the Ballycotton 10 Mile on March 21st.
