Wednesday next the 30th June its a big day for Dunleer AC. Firstly at 2 o clock Irelands first mobile heart screening will be at the clubrooms, following a huge community effort in promoting SADS awarness in 2006, 15 young adults aged between 14 and 35 from the locality will be the first to take part in a pilot screening. Thanks to cardiogenics, its a massive breakthrough in this particular area. Secondly at 6.30pm their official re opening of renovated track with special guest athletic legend Catherina McKiernan, twice Olympian Catherina dominated the world of athletics in the 90s. She has 4 world cross country silver medals, gold medalist europeans, winner of Berlin, London and Amsterdam city marathons, fastest debut womens marathon in history 2.23.44. So this is a great chance to meet the star, bring all the family and friends to Dunleer AC track at 6.30 next Wednesday.
