Düsseldorf Marathon - looking for Irish Runners to join Irish Business Network Team

Looking for a new challenge or an opportunity to take part in what is certainly one of Germany’s most attractive marathons. The Düsseldorf Marathon is taking place on the April 29th and the Irish Business Network (IBN) in Germany is looking to make their mark on the festivities! For the first time ever, the IBN is entering a team to take part in the run along the Rhein - so a spot on the inaugural IBN Trophy for the fastest runner is up for grabs! Interested? The IBN Team is to consist of a total of 40 runners - with 20 of those spots being filled by the Irish Diaspora here in Germany and 20 runners from Ireland - this is where you come in! That’s right; we’re looking for 20 enthusiastic runners to fly over and take part either as a solo runner or as part of a 4 person relay team. Running as part of the IBN team comes with a number of benefits. What we\\\'re looking for:
• Reduced entry fee and IBN Team kit.
• Post Marathon Reception.
• Most importantly, the chance to become the first winner of the IBN Perpetual Trophy.

Tempted?
As part of the package, the IBN has also identified a number of ‘Host Families’, all willing to accommodate and give you some insights into the real Düsseldorf you throughout your stay. Alternatively we can arrange private accommodation where required.

Of course, being an IBN event, there will also be an opportunity to meet our members, with events lined up throughout the weekend, including.
• Post Marathon Reception.
• Sightseeing tour around Düsseldorf
• Pre-race performance boosting Pasta Party
• Post race Reception and presentation of Trophy
• Party in our meet and greet area at the finish line.

Dublin will reciprocate in the autumn with guests coming over from Germany to run in the Dublin Marathon all to chase our perpetual trophy. Spaces are limited, so get your entry to us as soon as possible to ensure you’ll be in the running for what will surely be great weekend of sport, craic agus ceol. So if you are interested in being a host family in October please let us know.

If you would like more information on any aspect of the Marathon, the IBN or the weekend itself, please contact Paul Cahill at paul.cahill@irishbusinessnetwork.de.
