Marathon Mission Team great runs in rotterdam and Paris.

Catriona Jennings put in an outstanding performance to achieve the qualification standard for the London Olympic Games in today’s Rotterdam Marathon, running a time of 2:36:17. Jennings joins last years Dublin Winner Linda Byrne 2:36:23, Ava Hutchinson who ran 2:35:33 in Heuston and Maria McCambridge 2:36:37 from Rome as the fourth Irish women to achieve the standard for London.

Breege Connolly and Gladys Ganiel, both ran in Rotterdam to record times of 2:40:25 a PB and 2:43:46 respectively. Elizabeth Lee ran 2:46:33 in her marathon debut. While in Paris Lorrainne Manning also ran 2.46.

Sean Connolly narrowly missed the A mens standard of 2.15 finishing in a time of 2:16:42. Gary Thornton was next of the Marathon Mission Team across the line finishing in 2:17:29, both times are inside the Olympic B standard of 2.18 they were followed by Thomas Frazier in 2:20:00. In Paris Alan OShea ran 2.21.
