Marathon Talk 26.2 on Tuesday 12th June
Marathon Talk 26.2 presented by Dundrum South Dublin Athletic Club. Whether you’re thinking of doing your first Marathon or looking for tips on how to improve your last Marathon time, this talk should not be missed by anyone interested in Marathon Running. The speakers will enlighten you on the many aspects of endurance running, retelling their experiences in a most practical way during this unusual assembly of athletes from Novice, Experienced & Elite at the distance. Open your eyes to the discipline of endurance running, the Training, the Wall and the Myths associated with the King of all racing distances that is “The Marathon”. Look into the abyss and begin to understand the fascination that people have with endurance running and in particular the Marathon. The evening’s program is designed specifically for those thinking of attempting their first Marathon and those trying to improve their time toward the elusive sub 3hr mark.
The list of speakers will include Linda Byrne, Current National Marathon Champion and Irish Olympic Marathoner in London 2012. Strength & Conditioning given by Peter Mathews, 1st Timer Marathoner view from Annette Kehoe, Marathon Training Schedules from Declan Ryan and a word from the Pacer, Fergal McDonnell.
