Traffic Information

The Irish Life Dublin Marathon will start at Leeson Street Lower on Sunday, October 26th at 8:40 am and finish in Mount Street Upper up to 5 pm. There are several road closures in place.

Please allow time to travel on Sunday; there may be some delays to public transport services to facilitate the Irish Life Dublin Marathon.

NOTE: The N11 is open both ways as the runners pass over the UCD flyover.

DART Information

Major rail works – no rail services between Connolly and Howth / Malahide / Dundalk Saturday 25^th to Monday 27^th October

Due to a series of major rail works taking place between Clontarf Road and Howth / Dundalk over the weekend, please note that both for race number collection on Saturday, 25^th October and marathon day Sunday, 26^th October:

• No DART services will operate between Connolly and Howth / Malahide.  DART services are operating between Connolly and Bray / Greystones only, with an additional DART at 07:05hrs from Greystones to Dublin Connolly, serving all stations en route.
• No Northern Commuter services will operate between Dundalk / Drogheda and Dublin Connolly.
• An additional Maynooth Commuter service will operate at 07:05hrs, serving all stations to Dublin Pearse.

Impact on dublinbikes Scheme

To facilitate the Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2025, five stations will be closed.

The stations affected are listed below:

• Merrion Square East (25) – Closed from 2pm Friday 24^th – 10am Monday 27^th
• Merrion Square West (26) – Closed from 2pm Friday 24^th  – 10am Monday 27^th
• Merrion Square South (113) – Closed from 2pm Friday 24^th – 10am Monday 27^th
• Mount Street Lower (56) – Closed from 2pm Friday 24^th– 10am Monday 27^th
• Wilton Terrace (39) – Closed from 2pm Friday 24^th – 10am Monday 27^th

Access may be restricted to other stations bound by the race route on the day. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by these closures which are beyond our control.
